"Ain't No Stopping Us Now" proved to be an appropriate theme at the 23rd Annual MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) Awards banquet, held on March 29, 2008 at the Westin Hotel in uptown Charlotte. This year's event, hosted by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Charlotte, was kicked off with a commentary from the 2008 HBAC President, Brian Pace of Pace Development, followed by industry humor from veteran real estate professional Bill Gallagher, of Superior School of Real Estate. Other emcees included Event Chair, Stacie Tinucci of M/I Homes, Co-Chair, Garrett Werkman of M/I Homes, and 2008 Sales and Marketing Council Chair, Cindy Petersen of New Homes Journal.
Awards were presented for all categories including marketing, advertising, product design, interior design, model merchandising, signage, and individual achievement. New to this year's individual achievement awards: Lender of the Year, and Past Pioneer, an honor given to those who have contributed consistently over the years to the success of the Sales and Marketing Council.
