Southampton Homes, along with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors partnered with the Hearts and Hammers Mission of Hickory Grove Baptist Church to help a family move back into their home in time for the holidays. The home of Donald and Rita Atwell, extensively damaged by an electrical fire in August of 2006, was selected as the Hearts and Hammers Holiday House 2007.

After finding out from their insurance company they no longer had coverage, the Atwells moved in with family members and tried to make repairs on limited funds and construction ability. Although some repairs had been made from area church donations and volunteers, a co-worker of Donald and church member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, brought their story to the Hearts and Hammers mission.

Hearts and Hammers volunteers, assisted by Southampton Homes completely reconstructed the home with new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, exterior vinyl siding, sub-flooring, walls, cabinetry, appliances, painting and triml. Southampton Homes was overwhelmed by the response of their vendors and subcontractors, many of whom had also participated in the 2006 Holiday House.
